Clear aligners are a series of removable transparent trays, each worn for one to two weeks, that move teeth in small increments. They are taken out to eat and to clean.
Aligners suit many cases of crowding and spacing well. Some bite corrections are still handled better by fixed braces, and the assessment is what determines which applies to you. Aligners only work while they are in the mouth — the usual requirement is 20–22 hours a day, and results depend on that being met.
